JCEO recognizes the 11 Federal Holidays, and all locations close for or in observance of those dates. Additionally, offices are closed on the day after Thanksgiving and the day before Christmas. Occasionally, some locations will close due to inclement weather - please check our Facebook page for up-to-date information on weather-related closures.

JCEO hosts or participates in several fundraising events throughout the year.
Three events repeat on a reoccurring basis: the Plattsburgh Cards & Collectible event, which takes place on the third Saturday of every May and October, the Charity Golf Tournament, which takes place on the third Friday in August, and our newest fundraiser, the Ag & Art Fair.
As of 2024, a new fundraising event is being added, the Agriculture & Artistry Fair, which took place at our Food Services location in Malone and will return for 2025!

JCEO has a Board of Directors that meet monthly to discuss agency needs and goals. Full board meetings take place at 9am on the third Tuesday of each month (except for April, August, and December) at JCEO’s administrative office in Plattsburgh.

A handful of times each year, JCEO offices close for a day so all staff members can participate in Agency All Staff meetings, where staff participate in teambuilding exercises, share lunch, and receive important training and organizational updates.

All JCEO offices will be closed for the day for an All Staff event. Regular office hours will resume on Thursday, May 23rd.
