Energy Services

JCEO’s Energy Services program is dedicated to helping families reduce energy costs and improve the comfort and safety of their homes. Through weatherization services and energy efficiency upgrades, we assist households in lowering utility bills, enhancing indoor air quality, and creating healthier living environments. Our program may also address critical needs like furnace repair or replacement, insulation, and ventilation improvements, ensuring homes are left safer and more energy efficient.

By promoting energy equity, we empower families to save money and live more sustainably.

Weatherization Assistance Program

The Weatherization Assistance Program reduces energy costs for households by making their homes more energy efficient. Services are provided in Clinton and Franklin Counties, at no cost to the household. Acceptance to this program is based on income eligibility. We serve both homeowners and renters!

After being approved for the program, a comprehensive energy audit will be conducted and a work scope created by a certified energy professional. Measures that may be taken include: heating systems repairs/replacement, distribution of the heating system, insulation, ventilation, indoor air quality, smoke alarms installation, CO alarms installation, and venting of dryers and refrigerators. Weatherization is a great way to conserve energy and save money on heating and cooling your home throughout the year!

EmPower+ Program

JCEO administers the Empower+ program in both Clinton and Franklin Counties. Through EmPower+, JCEO can make free energy-efficiency upgrades to income-eligible households.

Energy upgrades may include LED light bulbs, water tank wraps, water-saving shower heads, aerators, smoke detectors, pressure relief valves, refrigerator and freezer replacement, heating systems, and insulation.
